Adele and Her Stunning Weight Loss

Adele shocked the world with stunning her weight loss achievement during lockdown. Adele is a world renowned singer and songwriter, writing massive hits like “Rolling in the Deep”, “Someone Like You”, and “Set Fire to the Rain”. With over 120 million record sales, she is one of the world’s best-selling artists.

She hosted Saturday Night Live (SNL) and made comments about her weight loss during her opening monologue. The pop sensation joked, “I know I look really, really different since you last saw me, but actually because of all the COVID restrictions and the travel bans, I had to travel light and only bring half of me, and this is the half that I chose.”

Fans began noticing a difference in Adele’s appearance around October 2019, when she shared a cutesy Instagram with a caption that included the word, “I used to cry but now I sweat,” implying that she was working out more often. It was also well-known that Adele and her ex-husband Simon Konecki broke up earlier that year in April. Angelo Adkins, their 7-year-old son, was born after they were married for two years.

Then, in December, Adele shared a black-and-white Instagram photo of herself with someone dressed as the Grinch at a holiday party. A 19-year-old fan told People at the time that she had seen Adele dining with Harry Styles. The fan told People about a conversation she had with Adele, saying, “She said she lost something like 100 pounds or 7 stone, and it’s such a crazy positive experience.” “She seemed to be in such good spirits, and she looked stunning. She exuded self-assurance.”

Adele at first been quiet on how she lost weight, people speculated on her diet and workout routine. Fortunately, she revealed the big changes she did to slim down.

She had to cut out caffeine and cigarettes. Adele revealed that she would drink about ten cups of tea a day. Stopping this along with alcohol and smoking helped massively in her weight loss. Also, it helped in her overall health and saving her from damaging her vocal chords. A win-win situation.

She adopted the Sirtfood Diet. This diet is focused on research on sirtuins (SIRTs), a family of seven proteins found in the body that have been shown to control a number of functions such as metabolism, inflammation, and lifespan. Certain natural plant compounds have been called “sirtfoods” because they may be able to boost the body’s levels of these proteins. The popstar adopted this diet in 2017 and still continues to follow it until today.

She’s intensified her workouts. Adele works out three days a week. It’s been second nature to her, and she alternates between cross-training and Pilates workouts. She combines cardio, circuit training, and Pilates in 60-minute sessions. She’s discovered a routine that works for her and is getting more enjoyment out of it. The singer said in a 2016 interview with Vogue that she was working out to keep in shape for her shows, which resulted in weight loss. She shared, “I was trying to get some stamina for my tour, so I lost a bit of weight. Now I fit into normal, off-the-shelf clothes—which is a really big problem for me!”

She concentrates on maintaining a safe and balanced lifestyle. While some can attribute Adele’s recent weight loss to her divorce, it has more to do with her desire to be the best mother she can be. She is determined to live a healthier lifestyle and set a good example for her son. She’s also more concerned about how she feels and the health benefits than about losing weight.
