Kim Kardashian West’s dream body wasn’t achieved without a lot of effort. She is an American model, television personality, socialite, businesswoman, actress, and producer. She is well known for the show Keeping Up with the Kardashians. Since giving birth to son Saint in December, the reality star has been honest about her weight loss journey, and she tells PEOPLE how she has lost nearly 5 stone.

The 35-year-old mother of two says she found that a healthy body is made in the kitchen as well as the gym. West said, “I think dieting is so important to weight loss, whereas, I didn’t really ever think that before, I thought, ‘Oh, I can work out, I can just eat whatever I want.’ But you have to work out all the time.”

To get her diet under control, Kardashian West used the Atkins 40 method, eating about 1,800 calories a day to complement her rigorous workouts. Kardashian West claims that the diet doesn’t make her feel deprived, despite the fact that she doesn’t eat fast food on a daily basis. A brilliant, win-win situation.

“We eat a lot of fish and turkey, it’s a full modified thing. I worked with them in them sending me their snack stuff. And there would be this trail mix with M&M chocolates with peanuts, so there was stuff that makes it you feel like you can live. And not like super restricted to anything.” The socialite said.

Kardashian West has made incredible strides, but her children have made it difficult for her to adhere to her diet. Kanye West’s wife admits to falling off the wagon after losing 4 stones. West revealed that “I started going to Disneyland and taking my kids and eating Churros and all that really crappy stuff that I love. But then you feel so s—– after you eat it, when you’ve been doing so good.”

Kardashian West claims she lost more than 6 stone “instantly” after regaining control of her diet and fitness schedule, which involves going to the gym at 6 a.m. before her children, North and Saint wake up. She is now down almost 5 stone. Part of Kardashian West’s inspiration is from her younger sister, Khloé Kardashian, who has lost 3 stones.

Kardashian says of her sibling that “She does these workouts with these sauna suits underneath, and she’s just. . . I’ve never seen someone so focused.” Despite the fact that Kardashian’s body is in better shape than ever, Khloé still has body envy.
