She recently opened up to famous Filipino Journalist Karen Davila in a YouTube video about her remarkable weight-loss journey. In only two months, she was able to lose 84 pounds through intermittent fasting.

What is intermittent fasting?
Intermittent fasting is a dietary method used by many, wherein there are alternating periods of eating and fasting. Claudine reveals that it had become a habit already, highlighting the discipline required to adhere to such a schedule.
Following her doctor’s advice, Claudine fasts on a daily basis for 20 hours, only allowing herself a meal within a four-hour window which usually begins at 4:00 in the afternoon.
The interview highlighted the importance of consulting a doctor before following such fasting methods. Agreeing with her, Claudine shared that the ideal number of hours for beginners is around 13 or 14 hours. Going beyond such limits may be harmful for those who are only starting out.
Previously weighing 184 pounds, the actress reveals that she was down to 100. She adds that although it wasn’t the thinnest she has been, her size is now the same as that when she was single.
How does intermittent fasting work?
When the body goes without food for 20 hours a day, it goes into a metabolic state. This state is known as ketosis, where stored fat is used as energy. She often cleans the house, the bathroom to be specific, and cleans and cleans until she forgets about her cravings. Claudine also reveals that she tries her best to sleep early and wake up late, lengthening the hours where she’s asleep as much as she can.
Tips to adopt new eating habits
To add to her intermittent fasting routine, Claudine makes the habit of cutting out red meat and swapping it with better sources of protein. She also reveals that she has taken out beef and pork.
Despite these limitations, Claudine discloses that the beauty of this form of dieting is that she gets to eat whatever she wants during the windows where she can eat. Her favorites include chicken and donuts from fast food chains, mentioning that they are often prepared as soon as the time comes for her to eat.
This is her main motivation to continue this diet, as she has something to look forward to in terms of both food and weight loss at the same time.
