Andy Cohen’s 12-Pound Victory
Andy Cohen is an American radio and television talk show host, producer, and writer in his 50’s and yet that did not stop him from being an inspiration to those in the same age range to lose weight! He liked talking to guests about their life in his shows but this time, it was his turn to share what has been happening to him recently.
In Hoda Kotb’s Today Tuesday show, he mentioned that he was a tough critic of himself. Being in front of cameras, he found himself looking at his body often through mirrors and monitors, and that it had apparently messed with his head. That following summer, he noticed how his suits were starting to feel tight and he was wearing button-downs to the beach. Cohen realized that he wasn’t that kind of guy, so he changed courses.
To dedicate himself to a life of health and fitness, he has done some changes in his activities.
He said that he has not had a drink on WWHL since mid-July and has been seeing results since. Just by watching what he was eating, he lost 12 pounds!
“I’m usually the most out of shape in the summer. It’s ridiculous, but I like to eat hot dogs and hamburgers and ice cream in the summer and I just don’t believe in denying myself,” Cohen told The Cut. “There are moments in my life where I am trying to lose weight for something, and unless that’s happening I try to indulge within reason.”
Cohen knew that the healthier meals have definitely helped him out but coupled with cutting down on drinking and getting very active in the gym, he called it a success. Stanislav Kravchenko, Cohen’s personal trainer, said that he got his current body through his own hard work!
Kravchenko mentioned that recommends his clients cut back on alcohol, especially if they are trying to lose weight. “I’m not demanding on this,” Kravchenko said. “I think Andy’s very smart, and he understands this, how it impacts his health.”
