Chris Pratt’s Workout and Diet

Even if you aren’t a huge fan of the franchise, surely you are aware of who Chris Pratt is. Besides his famous role in Guardians of the Galaxy, he is one of Time’s 100 most influential people in the world, the star in Jurassic World, a part of Avengers, and many more iconic roles. For many of his roles, he undergoes diets and workouts that we’re about to find more about.

With help from a nutritionist and personal trainer, Chris Pratt’s body has undergone dramatic improvements over the years. For Guardians of the Galaxy, Pratt’s diet was designed by nutritionist Phil Goglia and to everyone’s surprise, Pratt actually increased his overall calorie and water intake! In exchange, he spent more time at the gym, resulting in a mass that became lean muscle.

To help you give an idea, here’s a quick list of the foods he had.

Foods he had to eat:

  • steak
  • fish
  • chicken breast
  • whole eggs
  • spinach
  • sweet potatoes
  • steel-cut oatmeal
  • brown rice
  • nuts
  • berries
  • grass-fed butter
  • coconut oil
  • avocado

Foods he had to avoid:

  • burgers
  • fried foods
  • sugar
  • dairy
  • hashbrowns
  • refined carbs
  • processed foods

Finally, he had to take the following supplements to help build his muscle.

  • whey protein
  • testosterone booster
  • BCAA
  • fat burner

As for Pratt’s workout routine, he partnered with ex-Navy SEAL Duffy Gaver who has worked with A-list celebrities before. For Guardians of the Galaxy, Pratt worked out for five months straight, for four to six sessions per week. As a result, he shed 60 pounds and gained more definition to his muscles. By the time they began shooting again, his transformation was complete!

Chris Pratt is one of many celebrities that actively show how their bodies don’t happen with the help of magic but through discipline and hard work.
